Description	TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title / Code : Telecommunication Engineer (C/116/FLNG/08/2012) Education Level : S1 / Bachelor Degree Key Responsibilities: Oversee telecommunication and navigation system design to support achievement of project targets on time, on budget, and with high quality & safety; and responsible for system’s technical reliability and its integration in the overall facility Telecommunication and navigation system Design Review/check and evaluate FEED Contractor’s telecommunication and navigation system design Ensure that telecommunication and navigation system design meets Oil & Gas industry quality standards as well as regulatory requirements Verify and evaluate design integrity of work and to ensure that FEED Contractors’ proposed solutions are technically sound Ensure that final design is in line with Masela specifications and DEPs requirements along with project documentation Identify scope and develop specifications for EPC phase based on approved final telecommunication and navigation system design Evaluate FEED deliverables of Multi FEED for telecommunication and navigation system design Monitor and control progress of Multi FEED for telecommunication and navigation system design Assess local content for telecommunication and navigation system Technical Assurance and Integrity Review design calculations and drawings in order to verify accuracy of deliverables for telecommunication and navigation system design Contractor Management Ensure that FEED Contractors provide proper progress reporting and complete documentation for telecommunication and navigation system design Planning, Costs and Risk Management Provide and regularly update work plan; schedule and milestones; cost estimates for telecommunication and navigation system design to Instrument Control System Eng. Supervisor Inform possible delays and budget overruns to Instrument Control System Eng. Supervisor and recommend appropriate solutions; ensure that Contractor implements solutions approved by Instrument Control System Eng. Supervisor Development and Leadership Ensure behaviors, performance, and resourcing of own team support Masela’s goals, company policy and standards Participate in business planning, budgeting, system integration, peer reviews, and other initiatives as required Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing Any other activities as requested to support INPEX success Qualification & Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor in Telecommunication, Information and Computer science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 7 years experiences in the oil and gas industry, as telecommunications discipline with telecommunication and navigation system design, and start-up of FPSOs as a minimum including ideally LNG plants Extensive experience in FEED and EPC engineering activities related to telecommunication and navigation system design of FPSOs as a minimum including ideally LNG plants. Proficient knowledge and working experience of telecommunication and navigation system design involved with all phases of projects from FEED to detail engineering and design through to construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, project management and QC controls and procedures relating to telecommunication engineering Knowledge and working experience of telecommunication and navigation system design including the likes of CCTV, PA/GA, security, WAN, VSAT, radio communication system Up-to-date knowledge of engineering methods, technology and industry trends related telecommunication and navigation systems
